Ergonomist Endorsed: Task Chairs Assessed for Comfort, Support and Everyday Performance
Choosing the right task chair is about more than how it looks. For people who spend long hours at a desk, a well-designed chair can help support posture, improve comfort and make it easier to move naturally throughout the workday.
That’s why Advanta has taken an important step in validating the ergonomic performance of four of our task chairs: Savi, Dash, Aveya and Voka. Each chair has been independently assessed by an ergonomist and will now carry our Ergonomist Endorsed icon.
What does the Ergonomist Endorsed mark mean?
This mark means the chair has been independently assessed by a Certified Professional Ergonomist who confirms that the chair design meets the required standards for ergonomic compliance.
The assessment was conducted through an independent review of the chair’s functional features against accepted ergonomic principles and anthropometric considerations for office seating, including:
Seat height | Seat pan depth | Seat width and cushion | Backrest design | Lumbar support | Armrests
Each assessment reviewed the chair’s physical dimensions, adjustment ranges, control layout and functional features, with consideration given to how the chair supports neutral posture, user adjustability, lumbar support, pressure distribution, dynamic sitting and compatibility with desk-based work.
Why independent ergonomic assessment matters
A task chair should help people work comfortably, but every user is different. Height, body proportions, posture, task requirements and workstation setup all influence how well a chair performs in practice.
Independent ergonomic assessment provides an additional layer of confidence by reviewing whether a chair’s design and adjustment features align with accepted ergonomic principles. It helps confirm that key features are not only included, but are functional, accessible and appropriate for a broad range of users.
For workplaces, specifiers and procurement teams, this offers a clearer way to identify seating that has been reviewed with ergonomic performance in mind.
The four assessed task chairs
Savi
Savi demonstrates a sound ergonomic design with multiple adjustment features intended to accommodate a broad range of users. Its controls are accessible from the seated position, logically located and consistent with commonly accepted ergonomic control conventions.
The chair includes adjustable seat height, seat pan depth, lumbar support, armrests and backrest tilt, helping users set up the chair to support posture and comfort throughout the workday. Its breathable 3D air mesh backrest, waterfall seat edge and medium-soft cushion support pressure distribution and postural movement during extended sitting.

Dash
Dash has been assessed as a well-considered ergonomic task chair with multiple adjustment features suited to a wide range of users. Its controls are easy to reach while seated, logically arranged and designed to make setup straightforward.
With adjustable seat height, seat depth, lumbar support, armrests and a weight-responsive tilt mechanism, Dash supports postural variation and dynamic sitting. Its 3D air mesh backrest provides breathability and light elastic support, while the seat cushion helps distribute pressure evenly across the seated surface.

Aveya
Aveya provides a strong combination of adjustability, support and comfort-focused design. The chair’s contoured seat, breathable mesh backrest and adjustable support features help promote neutral posture and postural variation during prolonged seated work.
A key feature of Aveya is its bilateral lumbar support adjustment, which allows users to vary both the amount and location of lumbar support. This may be beneficial for users who require more tailored lower back support, including asymmetrical support preferences.
Aveya also includes an optional headrest, providing additional support during reclining, video conferencing, observation tasks or multi-screen work where intermittent head and neck support may be helpful.

Voka
Voka has been assessed as a sound ergonomic task chair with multiple adjustment features designed to support a broad range of users. Its seat, backrest, lumbar support, armrests and tilt mechanism work together to support postural setup, movement variation and comfort during prolonged seated work.
Voka’s seat height range and seat depth adjustment support a wide range of users, including those with shorter thigh lengths or shorter stature. Its breathable 3D air mesh backrest supports the lumbar and thoracic regions, while the adjustable lumbar bolster allows the user to position support according to individual preference and body shape.

Designed for real workplaces
Across all four chairs, the ergonomic assessments focused on the features that matter most in a working environment: accessible controls, adjustability, back and lumbar support, pressure distribution, arm support and movement.
Savi, Dash, Aveya and Voka are all rated for users up to 140kg. Dash, Aveya and Voka include a 10-year warranty, while Savi includes a 5-year warranty.
These chairs have been designed to support everyday office tasks, whether in corporate workplaces, home offices, education settings or flexible work environments.
Supporting better seated work
The new Ergonomist Endorsed icon gives customers, designers and workplace decision-makers a simple way to identify Advanta chairs that have undergone independent ergonomic review.
While the right chair is only one part of an effective workstation setup, selecting a chair with considered ergonomic features is an important place to start.
With Savi, Dash, Aveya and Voka, Advanta continues to support workplaces with seating solutions that combine design, comfort, adjustability and independently assessed ergonomic performance.
